A little bit about our CSA -
Our main season CSA is an every week starting on June 3rd and running through October 28th for a total of 22 CSA shares. Each share will have 6-8 items that will be a mix of: salad greens (lettuce, arugula, mustard, radicchio), root crops (carrots, kohlrabi, potatoes, turnips ), cooking greens (kale, chard, collards, cabbage, bok choi), other brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, fun heirloom varieties from Italy), herbs, sexy summer crops (peppers, corn, tomatoes, tomatillos, fresh beans, cucumbers), alliums (scallions, onions, shallots), and possible value added items (teas, salts, herb blends, ferments, and more). Each share will have about 10-15 servings of vegetables and should last about 1 week depending on your vegetable usage. Some folks will need supplemental produce and for some - this will be the perfect amount to share with friends.
We will ALWAYS give out recipes/suggestions for each CSA share along with having access to the incredible recipe resource - Cook with What you Have. Cooking with vegetables can feel intimidating - I get it and probably 90% of what I cook in my kitchen is from the farm all year round so I'm here to support you on this journey. For me, eating seasonally all year long just makes me appreciate the pure joy of each season. The excitement I feel for the first frost kissed radicchio in November, cabbage raab in February, the first shelling pea in May, a heirloom tomato in July, and roasted delicata in September can't be beat. I invite you to come on this journey with us and commit to a year of seasonal eating.
Our CSA members are the investors in our farm and we are committed to making you a priority in return. When you buy a CSA share, you are helping us to fund the season when cash is tight due to more challenging growing conditions. There are so many big investments to make in the Winter on a farm - fertilizer, soil mix, seeds, labor, new farm tools, and more. While we do offer payment plans, if you can pay in full, we ask that you please do. Thanks so much for considering our farm!
